How is to get ready for screening?

Flatulence hinder examination. So do not eat products producing wind within 2 to 3 days before doing abdominal ultrasound. They include salted cabbage, peas, beans, other legumes, raw vegetables and fruit, gray bread, and juices.

Before having abdominal ultrasound you should not have any food within 8 to 12 hour before the procedure. Thus, the procedure is best to have done in the morning being hungry.

You should not have water, chewing gums and lollipops before screening. Do not smoke cigarettes since it makes your stomach shrink and may lead to incorrect diagnosis.
